Day One

It took some work and a few tries, but I managed to get Judah to sleep in the crib about 6... and he slept there until 9! Woke up and whimpered twice but feel back asleep.  Hugely helpful so I could pump and use the restroom!

So much for worrying about him sleeping in his belly.  He's all about it even now! And it's crazy to not see him with his big belly.  He looks so much older now.

We scored a decent view... if you're a Michigan fan.  Bo Schembechler is buried in that cemetery,  and the Big House is there to the right.  It's all lit up at night, even when they aren't playing.

Pain and vomiting have been our major issues today.  We tried to get rid of the morphine,  but he vomited immediately following the oxycodone. So he is now getting a dose of Zofran (anti-nausea) and then they'll do another dose of morphine. The us the hardest part right now, the pain and the vomiting.  We really would like to get these under control, pray for God's grace here.

He also has a lot of gunk in his chest. It sounds terrible and is giving him a lot of grief. I think it's the main factor behind the vomiting.

A few pics from the day-

He looks just like baby Judah in the NICU here.  Maybe in part because of all the swelling from fluids.

And then he looks grown up, here.

He gave his first smile today when we video called with his siblings. They all miss him terribly and I think it's safe to say he'll be happy to be back from this vacation ASAP.

Most of his awake time has looked like this. Just watching.

Finally back asleep after the oxycodone episode. Hoping that Zofran does the trick!
