All is Good!

Stent Removal Day

Stent Removal Day

Stent removal day! Should be quick and easy, but prayers are always appreciated!
For some reason, when I combine pictures and words, the pictures all do this...

I'll leave you with a couple recent quotes and separate post with pics of what he thinks about wearing a Michigan sticker.

Last night-
Mom- Judah, we have to go to Michigan, tomorrow.
Judah-no. Ohio state. Let's go bucks!

At dinner, we were having chicken-
Judah- CHICKEN,CHICKEN,CHICKEN,CHICKEN!!
Dad- I take it you would like more chicken!
Judah- No. I want Ham.

Driving to hospital,
Judah- mommy! I want out!
Mom- we are almost there, buddy!
Judah- we going to hospital?
Mom- yes. We are going to see Dr Park!
Judah- I want to go to the doctor park! (Never thought about how that would process to a park-loving kid!)

Judah Update

Sorry for the lack of posts. We are still alive!

My phone memory is full and I can't seem to get it to dump pictures to the computer. Going to need to get a teen on that. We have also just been so busy. But no news is always good news around here, and the news is really great.

I've run out of time for a proper post this morning, but here's an email that went out. I'll leave you with a slew of pics from Maine to hopefully make up for some of the lameness of the email post. I hope to do a proper Maine post soon, such a great trip!

 Happy Sunday!

As we start a new week, that we hope can't be as bad as last week with all of the election disappointment, I wanted to send out a quick Judah update.

He's doing amazing! He's always been such a joy, but now he's like every other little boy and so much fun!

He has struggled to eat since his first surgery in February, but I am thrilled to report he has turned into a bottomless pit! He's gained 2 pounds in just over a months and finally hit his pre-surgery weight again. (Favorite food? Bacon. Working on that one!)

His sleep had greatly improved. He's sleeping in his own bed (!!!) and only waking 3-5 times on average (previously 20-25.) He's not hitting, kicking, scratching, moaning, or screaming at night. Not even once have we had to pace or rock during the night since surgery! This alone is life changing.

Presumably as a result of the increase in sleep, his speech is insane. Sentences abound and he is so much fun to listen to!

I cannot thank you all enough for all of your unending prayers for this kid. He's thriving and we are so grateful. Statistically, he was only given a 25 percent chance to see his second birthday. That birthday is 2 months away!

Our only issue has been bloody urine, presumably from the stent that is in place. That should come out Thrusday if we can all stay healthy. It's a quick in and out, home the same day, God-willing.

We always appreciate prayers for a safe procedure, biggest risks are the anesthesia and infection. Also, this is where it all went spiraling downhill last time, as scar tissue formed once the stent came out. If it is God's will, we really hope this is the last surgery for a good long while!

Thank you all for being such a great community of support!
