Selah's first trip to the beach (take two)

So...as I stated before...
My aunt and uncle live in North Port, FL and we go to Siesta Key beach while we are visiting them. Beautiful white sand that doesn't get hot and isn't gritty. (It's still sand, and I still hate it, but it is better than most.)

Here's Noah, making "sandballs."
(And if I was going to have something thrown at me, I'd be hoping for SANDballs... Don't worry, he didn't throw them.)

Selah, looking cool on the beach.

Needed a quick drink before heading out into that sun...I don't do bottles- those are for BABIES!

Another drink, with my sandy little hands.

And my "sugar-coated" toes.

Daddy took the boys in the ocean, but Noah isn't much of a fan...

He liked playing in the sand much more.
(Like a little old lady, peering over those sunglasses.)
Daddy and Jonah, working hard on their sandcastles.

Apparently the sunglasses were just too inconvenient.

Hmmm, what's in this bucket?

Pretty cool handle...

And there is a spout...

But what's this inside?

Could it be...?
Yep, more sand.

This tag is more my style.

It's got numbers, lines AND letters on it...

And it tastes like...
SAND.
Gee what a disappointment. Everything around here seems to taste like sand!

It was great just watching all the kids play...
(And hopefully someday I can just relax and watch them and not have to keep saying "no" and trying to dig sand, shells and little crabs out of the mouth of my youngest. One can hope...)

Hmmm, what's this in here?
More sand.
Can't seem to get away from this stuff!

More playing, Selah is IN the boat.

But she realizes that the boat can't save her from the sand, it's covered, too!

Hey, Noah, that's a nice sandcastle you are building there!
You know what it really needs, though?
Here, let me show you...

OOOPS! Did I do that?
I didn't mean to wreck it, I'll just go see how Jonah is doing...

NO! SELAH STAY AWAY!
But, Jonah, I just want to help you make it pretty!
It needs a flag on top...

OOPS! I just crashed through the side...
Sorry about that!
I think I'll go check on Daddy's sandcastle....

WOW, Dad! That's awesome!!
I love it so much, I think I will give it a hug!
Gasp! There's another one!! Don't want it to feel left out!
(I kid you not, she destroyed all of these sandcastles, ON HER OWN, in about 2 1/2 minutes. Both of the boys were pretty upset, but when they yelled at her, she just crawled away and found another!)
Well, now that I have wrecked all of the sandcastles, I will go see what Noah has moved onto....

Sure, Noah, I can get you the duck!

I wonder what is in this box!
Well...
That looks like something I shouldn't have...
Now how do I get in there?
My arms are just not long enough...
I guess if you pull hard enough it'll fall over!

Now I have to get up before someone realizes that I knocked this over!

OH! This hat is always in the way!

Pah! Who needs a hat?
I'll just calmly leave it here, and hope Mom doesn't notice.

Do you see that?

It's a JUICE BOX!
My brother's LOVE those things.
They must be good!

I wonder how I can get to it...

I had better think about this one...
I probably need my hat, that was helping earlier!

Yep! That's what I needed!
That sun was just cooking my brain and I couldn't think.

They took away my juice box,
I guess I'll sit here and eat my sunglasses.

Bye for now! I had a great time at the beach and can't wait to come back!!

Growing up

For dinner, I am having cornflakes, biscuit and a couple of peas. I have decided that I will no longer be partaking in any baby food. I made this decision yeasterday, and, well, I was a little hungry last night, so I got up twice to eat. This was after sleeping through the night for 7 of 8 nights. Mom was not thrilled. But I held out today, & it paid off! She said it's all Dad's fault because he keeps giving me food off his plate. Well, probably she's right, because Dad's food is WAY better than that junk in a jar! I mean, REALLY! Have you tried that junk? Even Mom says it bland, & she likes bland stuff! So I've won, and Mom has promised to start making all my food again, even though she SAYS she doesn't have time. Pah, what does she do all day? Fold clothes & sit at the table. She SAYS she is teaching Jonah and Noah. But I mean, REALLY! Send them to school! Don't you think I deserve a
little attention here? She's so busy she can't even make me some food? She seems to find time to cook for everyone else! What am I? A second class citizen? I mean- have you seen me? I'm almost malnurished! (Just because the doctor says I'm just petite doesn't mean he knows what he is talking about!) I barely even have a double chin! When Jonah was my age, he had at least 4- I've seen pictures! But I've decided to compromise. I have decided I will humor Mom & use this sign language junk she's been annoying me with if that means I can have REAL food. (Don't you think it's kind of ridiculous? Why can't we just be babies anymore? Now we have to TALK with our hands!) Well, I'd better go, I heard my Dad mention the dessert word, & I am going to go try my luck at getting some of that!

Micah's new clothes

We went out to Kohl's and bought Micah a little outfit last night, it's kind of a "welcome to the family" tradition we have when we find out what we are having. And yes, it's fleece!

Look, Mom! I don't even have to use my hands!
And Eric and Tammy stopped by this afternoon with an outfit as well-more fleece, I love it!!
Um, hello? Did anyone notice the cute little girl sitting right here who needs some new clothes? Why is the kid who isn't even born getting all the goods? Sigh. Hopefully they don't forget my birthday in a few weeks!!
(and although it is hard to believe based on the pictures, Noah was happy to be the "clothes hanger" for Micah's clothes!)

Micah's pictures

As I said, they weren't very good. No profile at all, and not very clear. The machine was pretty old that they were using. But here you are, this is all I got- actually I got another of his little boy parts, but I just don't know why they waste the paper printing that everytime. What do I want a picture of that for? So I will refrain from completely embarrassing him, and not post that picture. But YAY for another boy, who unfortunately does not match up seasonally with the other two boys. But really, I have very little winter stuff in general since Jonah was born in TX and Noah GA, so I imagine I'd be buying him a bunch of warm clothes anyway. And in keeping with tradition, we will be going shopping tonight so everyone can pick something out for little Micah...I'm thinking fleece...
