Dare devil

She said she was trying to see the living room floor.
Last week, Noah was hanging from the hallway floor.
Apparently his punishment was enough to discourage Selah.

Calling Card

When examining crime scenes, I have seldom seen Locard's Exchange Principle fail. Basically, criminals always leave something behind at the crime scene, and take something with them. Selah would do well to learn this principle and how to avoid validating it.

Growing up

Sweet Selah is getting so big. She looks so grown up, peacefully sleeping. And then you see the duck. What a relief, she's still got some time!

Taking advantage

I was trying to get a picture of Elijah. And Selah and Micah showed up and wanted in. Then the other boys showed up and wanted in, too. Totally impromptu picture of all the kids. Not that I'm complaining.

Best buddies

Sorry if this is a repeat, it's in my drafts folder so I don't know if I ever sent it.

Finally Spring??

It's finally up to 51°! And while the wind chill might still be in the 30s and the sun is no where to be seen, the whole state seems to have headed outside today. We figured we may as well join them.

Noose?

I walked around the corner into the entryway yesterday and about panicked. There was a noose! I grabbed my camera and came back and the kids had all arrived. Turns out it was a coast guard rescue hinge. Silly me. Jonah was climbing into it as I returned. He intended for his siblings to hoist him upstairs! Mind you this was tied you a spindle...and we've already replaced 4 spindles that have been destroyed. Not the Heartiest items. After some convincing, they agreed to only rescue the dog. ER visit averted.

Mommy's little helper!

We've been building some new dressers for the boys' room. Good thing I've got help!

No admittance

Micah: Mom. You can't go this way. I'm not letting you back in the kitchen.

Me: why not?

Micah: because i need you to do something.

Me: what kind of something?

Micah: i need you to glue the magnet back together!

Well, that is one way to get something done. Demand compliance with a refusal to allow someone to pass.

8 weeks to go

Craig Morgan came to Afghanistan a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I had no idea who he was as I am not much of a country music person. Afterwards, friends told he he sang "That's what I love about Sunday" and "I was almost Home," songs I know well and really enjoy. I guess I should have gone to the concert....

Ok, but maybe it should be a picture of a Westerner, since not too many people in Afghanistan use opium, they just sell it to us.

The embassy in Kabul. Nice place to hang out, the closest thing to America I've seen  here, with a swimming pool, tennis courts, restraunts, a bar, and to remind me so much of Michigan, a liquor store.
