The kids were all sleepy heads today, except for Judah. So Judah went and woke them all up. Seems being woken up isn't so bad when it's by a sweet baby!

Bryan was working on the garage today and had the kids clear it out while he ran to Lowe's.  I found this sight when I came to check on them.  He actually did remarkably well,  given that he was in a ripstick! And I thought I caught Micah in the picture but I guess he was too quick for me,  he was rollerblading.
These two have fun together.  Judah will be so sad when Jonah (eventually) moves out.
I find this scene after a pumping session today- Selah was so proud that dad was letting her paint!

And Judah was daddy's little helper,  once again.  With the paint stripes to prove it.

19 Hours a Day...

No, that is not how much he sleeps. But he's the cutest thing sleeping!!

How is this kid so big?! I wish time would slow down.

This one, too. He's about to start his last year in the single digits...crazy! He still loves to be mama's helper, though. First trip back to the meat market this week. I was so excited. And I admit the meat was still fabulous,  but the prices have sure increased in the last 2 years! That was so disappointing,  I think it's actually cheaper to buy organic meat at Costco now, they just have a more limited selection.

Time to find a good farm to buy a cow from!
Judah also had an appt with his orthopedic surgeon.  Feet look great. Got new boots. And moving to 19 hours a day in them! Woohoo, that's a lot of freedom!

Suddenly Sunday

And I'm so far behind in everything, I don't even know where to start. So here's today, while I work on catching up some.

This is Selah and Micah...arguing.
What are they arguing about? Judah.
Particularly, who gets him. Because clearly he's a toy.
He woke up and Micah carried him downstairs.
So Selah gave him his bottle.
And Micah wants him back afterward.
But Selah says feeding him a bottle doesn't count as her time.
And Micah says carrying him downstairs doesn't count as his time.
And this is before Jonah and Noah and Elijah are up to also argue over the baby.
It's sweet and all, but it's still a struggle to have someone occupy him so I can pump every 3 hours...

The kids behind us were having a lemonade stand today. Selah used her own money to buy them all lemonade. (Jonah and Noah weren't interested because it wasn't fresh squeezed.)

Elijah wasn't too happy about the real lemon slice on his cup...

Just a little Jonah-Judah time. They're pretty good buddies.

6 month Check-up

We saw a new pediatrician today. I liked the old one just fine but the drive was killer especially when the baby who has the appointments hates the car. So we switched to the closer office and to the doc that was originally recommended. (She was booked 2 months out, hence the other doc.)

Well, she's  moving to a third location openeing next month. Which is as far in a different direction, as the first doc we were seeing. Soooo... bummer. Guess we will start over once again at his next visit.

All is well. Our little roley-poley is 19 pounds 8 ounces and 27 inches with a head circumference of 18 inches. (Skeptical on the length because that means he only grew and inch in length in 2 months. And his head also grew an inch...)

Those measurements give him 80th percentile in weight, 54 for height, and 95 for head. (Also why I think the length is off, because 80th in weight and 54 in height would make for a fat baby. And he's really not.)

She doesn't have any concerns, he checked out great. She agreed with the GI that blood and mucous in the diaper aren't super concerning because he's gaining weight. So I guess we will see if we ever have success with food or we have to start pushing harder. She did mention skin allergy testing but since he's so young it isn't super accurate and I can't see the point in putting him through it unnecessarily.

(I know I'm really behind on things. He tried baby oatmeal which he enjoyed but was a clear fail by day 3. And then I ordered a new probiotic to try and that was quite a bit of blood the next morning. So we're still waiting to get back to normal right now to try something else.)

We just remember all the horror that was told us a year ago and hey. We have a healthy, growing baby boy who is doing amazing. All the rest of this is manageable.

Bryan's worked hard on getting the classroom together and the kids got to do school in it today! You can see their excitement.

This kid. He just spends his days melting hearts.

The sun has been orange in the mornings and evenings for the last few days. Kinda makes you wonder what pollution is causing that but it's pretty nonetheless. I wish the flooding would go away over there, it's like living next to a swamp with the frogs and whatnot. And probably Mosquito heaven, though we clearly still have no grass so we aren't outside enjoying the evening yet.

I know her room is half the size it was in CO. And her closest is probably 1/8 the size. But I still don't get the mess. I cleaned out and packed her room when we were selling in CO! How does she still have so much stuff there's no where to put it?!
One of these days I'll get caught up enough everywhere else to have a minute (or 240) to help her in here.

Until then...I guess this is what I get with "it's clean!" (Don't worry, the boxes are just out of sight. They aren't unpacked...)

As rough as the nights can be...the mornings are hard to leave him.

Working on those pillow mountain climbing skills!
