To sleep...

One needs a giant pile of books. The other, an accordion.

Typical Selah

They poured the concrete for the house next door today. And as soon as no one was looking, Selsh took her plasma car right over the barricade and drove all over it. And she had been warned by her dad not to, in addition to the barricade. Not that any of this is surprising.

Out for a walk.

Lucky for Jonah (the only one without a plasma car), Micah shares pretty well.

Priorities

Found Selah sleeping in the hallway the other night. No pillow or blanket...but the Corvette was carefully placed on a pillow!

I forgot to ask her about the Corvette, but I did ask about the lack of a pillow and blanket. She replied she didn't need them, she was wearing pajamas! Logic, 3 year old style. She also told me that she couldn't sleep in her room because it is too scary in there! Wonder if she's going to be trying sleep with the boys once the castle is done.

Strawberries!

We took the kids to pick strawberries today. It was a good day to do it as there was barely anyone there. (So the kids weren't constantly in the way!) Took us a while but we picked 14 pounds and plan to make some jam this week- if the kids can stay out of them long enough! After doing some research this week, I found that virtually all pectin-which is in virtually all jelly, jam, and preserves-comes from apples. And I'm fairly certain Micah is allergic to apples. So now he can't have yet another while group of foods we thought were safe. My jam might be a little runny and take (quite) a bit longer to thicken, but it should be safe for Micah...assuming he doesn't have a strawberry allergy!

No More Cast!

Noah's arm has been pronounced healed enough to be cast-less! He was thrilled, asked to call Bryan while the doctor was still in the room. Came home and took a bath immediately until we drug him out and took another this morning. Micah is out for the count in the picture because we head just spent 4 hours at the zoo with friends. He fell asleep by the time w left the parking garage ( as did Selah), transferred to the stroller (sadly Selah was having none of that) , and then transferred back to the car seat! He didn't wake up until we got to Bryan's work, 2 hours after we left the zoo! He's been our only child to ever stay asleep through transfers. All he did was blink at me each time. He's such a sweetheart. Too bad he was still up at 630 this morning, even though he wasn't in bed until 9 last night.
Back to Noah. Left xray shows how the new bone growth has occurred around the break which the doctor was very pleased with. On the right you can still see the break but you can see that outer line of new growth protecting it. Second xray picture is just closer up. His arm didn't seem to hurt at all when the doctor examined him though it has hurt a little since we've been home. He's been put on light duty for another two Weeks and we are praying this all heals properly in the long run!

Fishfly season has started.

There are 20 on one kitchen window. I went outside to shake something our and 2 landed on me and I stepped on three. Yuck, yuck, yuck! Good thing this usually only lasts a couple of Weeks.

Clean garage

It actually makes me want to organize it even more when it's all clean! I take no credit, Bryan worked hard to get this changed up for the end of the year soccer party, yesterday.

Micah Loves Soccer

And balls. Any kind, though soccer balls are his favorite. Someone made adorable cupcakes with soccer ball bouncy balls on top. He couldn't eat the cupcakes, of course, but he loved the balls!

Nap time

He makes me think of a business man taking a power nap at lunch or something.

Hard work!

Not that I would know. Poor Bryan he's had to do virtually all the work. Guess that's why you don't do big projects when your wife is 7.5 months pregnant?

Front is ready for some brick!

I can't say it'll be done by Monday, but they should be able to sleep in it by then! (the poor boys have had to sleep on the basement all week-of course they love sleeping in the basement. They are very anxious, however, to try out their new beds!

Sweet Tea Wilhelm Style

What do you do when you haven't any ice to cool your sweet tea? Well, we stick a popsicle in it!

You're Forgiven

Dear Selah,
You are forgiven for all of your demanding and whining today. And can you please stop growing? You are getting so big! It's very hard to believe you will be four in three months!

Low Flying Aircraft

C-130s have been doing drills today. It isn't often we get to see anything other than KC-135s and A-10s, so the kids were really loving it.

There are HOLES in my shirt!

He's a little confused that they're supposed to be there!

Ponies Need Shoes!

Garlic honey dew

Selah took the knife I was cutting garlic with and stabbed the honey dew a good 20 times. Hopefully it's still edible!

Pony Play Time

A quiet moment that doesn't appear to be resulting in trouble...

Half Framed!

And we are really hoping we didn't mess up measurements somewhere. (Other than the ones we already found.) Smooth sailing on this project would be nice...

Take It Off!!

New Bed Time!

Step 1: remove old beds.
Step 2: clean up mess left behind.
Step 3: buy wood and rock.
Step 4: start frame.

We've begun the boys' new beds. We hope to have a four bed castle when we are done but time will tell what we end up with! 10 Weeks and counting until Mr. Elijah is due to arrive. Mr Micah needs to move into the boys' room ASAP so maybe he won't be  too upset at losing his room by the time Elijah arrives. That's our hope anyway...

Helpers.

According to Selah, that vent is too small so they have to fix it. And they are quite good at take vent covers off, amazingly enough.
