Happy 90th Birthday, Our Dear G.G.!

It's quite hard to believe, but G.G. has just celebrated her 90th birthday.  Almost a century of life and she's still doing pretty well! Sure her knees give her fits when she tries to bend them, and she's always cold but I'm always cold and Bryan's knees give him fits most days, too!

While we couldn't make it in on her actual birthday,  we did manage a quick day trip today to enjoy lunch at one of her favorites,  Outback Steakhouse,  and some dessert and a bit of visiting.

While the kids were sad that their plan for 90 candles was shot down for safety reasons, they did their best to incorporate as many candles as that could.  Please note that one should never let blue and yellow touch. Not even on a cake.

G.G. claimed her blower was broken and she needed some help blowing out those candles  Elijah was only so happy to help!

Only Jonah is taller than G.G. this far but Noah is oh so close! It was such a milestone for us kids to reach the point that we were taller than her when I was growing up!

Selah and Elijah insisted on taking a picture.

They wanted their own picture with G.G.. Who knows what their faces were all about.

This picture just makes me laugh. Noah, Micah, Elijah, and G.G. got the silly face memo... the rest of us missed that!

Not the greatest view,  but a nice sunset on the drive home tonight!

Just a Boy and His Ship

This kid is so in love with his diving submarine he got at the submarine museum in Connecticut.  He would like daily, 2-hour baths so he can enjoy it to its fullest.  And if you could go ahead bring him his food while he's in the bath, that would be great.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

G.G.'s 90 today.
Dad's 39.
And Aunt Jess is 32.

And I didn't take a single picture! Gonna have to see if we can remedy that one!

Towers By Elijah

Photo by Elijah, too. At least the subject was in focus!

He's enjoying his Christmas present and wants pictures of every, single tower.

Happy New Year!

We didn't stay up late on New Year's Eve to  celebrate the new year, but we did stay up until 2 during home from CT. A quick crash into bed and then we really celebrated with Mass followed by dinner at the Martin's. It'll be hard to find friends who will ever be such a great fit to our family.

Hard not to admire that prime rib! It was, of course, delicious!

One of those meals you could eat every day! You probably shouldn't, though.

Here's to a Blessed 2019!
