Snow and Baseball All in One Day

After a winter storm hit much of Colorado last night, I woke up to a beautiful snow-covered Pike's Peak. Here's hoping it convinces someone to buy the house this week!

I enjoyed the view and the cold this morning, one more than the other, and I arrived in DC late afternoon to much warmer weather. We had a great steak dinner and then took a quick jaunt to the middle school to play some baseball in the last few minutes of waning light.

Somedays are Quiet

It was a cold and rainy Thursday in Virginia. We did some school.  And this guy kept working on that pocket knife in his free time.

He did eventually get dressed, because I kicked him out to the balcony as he was making too much of a mess indoors.

We tried Abuelita hot chocolate, a little different but certainly not bad.

And I found rain coats for the younger 3, and rain boots for Elijah, so they went and splashed around this evening. I didn't catch a picture because I was making dinner. But they had fun and got a bit of fresh air, too. It'll be raining again tomorrow, maybe I'll get a picture then.
