Selah is almost here.

Well, we have made it to 39 weeks. And we will be having Selah on Tuesday, the 2nd, like it or not. I tried to reschedule for the following week, but was unable. So a couple of days, and she will be here. I am SO not ready!
Here are the last of the ultrasound pictures, I told you all that you can't see her anymore. She's too squished to see much, and her placenta is right in her face. But you can kind of make her out. And of course, her arm is across her face, though you can't really tell.

Selah's "profile"

Her fat foot.
Reminds me of my nephew Caden.
And his shoes are not cheap.
Maybe it is just the angle...

So Bryan should post some pictures on Tuesday, I am hoping maybe there is Internet at the hospital... I should call.
She seems to be quite little (comparatively).
She didn't grow much the last 3 weeks. Measured 37 weeks at 36, and still measured 37 weeks at 39. Estimated weight was 7 pounds 10 oz. (Which means she only gained a pound instead of a pound and a half. So although I am not ready, I am okay with her coming since she doesn't seem to be doing great.) We will see how accurate the weight guess is.
Bryan's office has given him 2 days off, so with his sick and annual leave, he will get 2 weeks! I was a bit nervous of him only having a week, but I think we will be okay now! Hope you all have a great weekend. It is our last "peaceful" one, and we are rushing around trying to get things ready for Selah!

It's fall- soccer and football are here!

Bryan's mom, step dad and two of his sisters came up to visit last weekend. He hid the pictures when he downloaded them from his sister's camera and I couldn't find them. (Actually, he put them on the external hard drive, which exists so that we do not lose pictures if the main system crashes. So he put them where they go, I just never remember to do that and therefore couldn't find them. I have the best excuse in the world- I'm 9 months pregnant!)
We went to soccer practice, Bryan's Jonah's coach, and to the Browns-Lions preseason game.

Noah chilling with Grandpa Mike. He LOVED Grandpa Mike. So different from Jonah who HATED men when he was little.

Dr. Noah, taking Grandma's blood pressure.
"Bad news I am afraid. My blood pressure cuff is only for ages 2-8. We will have to amputate."

Classic game of hit coach with your throw-in. The kids always love it, as Bryan always falls to the ground wounded.

Noah's favorite part of practice, drinking Gatorade. That was thankfully the last blue one. It is only clear from here on out! (That is a pen in my hand, not a cigarette, I promise.)

Like father, like son.

This is SO cool! (He wouldn't look at me long enough to get a picture of his face. A shame, as he is adorable in a hat.)

Bryan's in Heaven. The only thing missing is an $8 beer. (After paying $20 for parking-that was good, it was as high $50- the beer budget disappeared!)

What? Noah didn't want his hat anymore. I gotta show as much spirit as possible!

Our last football game without Selah.
(If you are going to comment on my lack of Browns apparel, I only have 2 shirts that still cover my belly, and neither is brown or orange. Maybe next time!)
Ford field was very nice, I would go back anytime. In fact, I would only like to watch the Browns play in a dome from here on out. It was 93 degrees outside, but in the 70s inside (a little stuffy for a pregnant woman, but hey- no sun, snow, or wind!)

What we've been up to.

A LOT

But i only have pictures of some of it.

This is Jonah's Cathedral. He was inspired by a recently acquired book about Cathedrals (Thanks Mom)

After tons of visitors, and heartbreaking news from friends in GA, we had a family outing to just enjoy life and each other. We went to the lake (Lake St. Clair, we live about a mile from there. It actually sits between Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. Never knew it existed until we got here!) Ice cream, good to the last drop, birds, and a few smiles.

Yes, Mom, I need every calorie possible. I am planning to hibernate this winter.

It always starts with one....

And 30 seconds later, ends with a ton!

Of course there was no bread left for the swans. The boys were really sad.

Noah the school bus driver. He has his ambitions in life!

Are you sure there is no hot lava at the bottom of the slide?

(Big brothers are troublemakers!)

PLEASE don't let go Bryan!

(He did for Jonah, who promptly fell on his face!)

I am seriously out of my mind. I decided to take a cake decorating class the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy. Don't ask. I was trying to get out of the house and have a life while i still could. Here's the clown cake. Not what i had pictured, but hey, neither was Elmo. The others were taken next door without pictures, they were even worse. And the best part? WE DON'T LIKE CAKE!

It is the headless fighter pilot and his trusty wingman!
(Too bad the pumpkins won't last until Halloween! They came from the neighbors garden that grew into our yard.)

Noah is 3!

We had a great celebration for Noah's birthday. Of course Jonah's is only 6 weeks away, hope he doesn't expect quite so much hoopla! It was Noah's first real birthday party, and the kids had a blast. Bryan saved the day (as usual) and played all kinds of games with the kids. Mostly from his childhood- some of which we had never heard of! But the kids loved it! They played rat tail tag (i had never heard of it), Easter egg hunt (a true hit), musical chairs, and variety of others (but that was two weeks ago and i can't really remember yesterday!)Our niece and nephew, Brianna and Jacoby, enjoying the Jeep.

Everyone fought over the birthday boy. Here's Aunt Jessica (my youngest sister) with him.

Aunt Rachael (my other sister) with Noah and Jessica's son Makian. I believe that he was bribed into the picture with the cupcake!

GG and Noah
This time Noah was bribed with the coffee.

Aunt Pat and Noah
Apparently no bribing necessary!

Noah and Brianna at the egg hunt. Brianna found the GOLDEN EGG (it may have been silver)
So Bryan gave her money!
I think maybe Noah needed some help!

Is it poisonous? Leave it to Jonah to find out!

And of course, cake. This was not the plan for Elmo, but oh well. He was falling over, so we had to eat him quickly! You probably cannot tell, but the candles actually burned different color flames! How col was that? Aunt Pat found them and we thought they were pretty cool, especially in the dark!

No baby yet

Haven't had time to post, but wanted to reassure all you who are wondering, that Selah is not here yet! We had a birthday party for Noah with 11 out of town guests and more out of towners this weekend, so I have been a bit busy. Never mind that Selah still needs a bed and all :)

Saw the doc, and all still looks good. She is very squished. Induction has been scheduled for September 2nd at 6 a.m.- much to Bryan's disgust. Of course the first soccer game is also that day. It does appear that Bryan is choosing his daughter over soccer! I hope that we will have a baby by lunch time on the 2nd- but I should probably not get my hopes up!

I will post pictures soon- hard to believe that Noah is 3!!!!!!

Zip It and Peanut Butter

The boys are obsessed with all of Selah's stuff. I am going nuts praying that they don't break anything before she even gets to use it. So, I finally convinced Bryan to let me buy them some doll furniture. This is the best we could find. (It was either pink and red, or just pink. Or culture is just so stereotyped. It drives me nuts from a psychological standpoint!) Bryan's justification is that these are Selah's toys, the boys are just playing with them for her. Whatever makes him feel better...
Mom, We are trying to take a walk. This is not a photo op!
(This is Zip It, Noah's baby. We are not sure where the name came from, but it has stuck for the last few weeks. Jonah named his Selah...so imaginative!)
He really doesn't want his picture taken Mom!
(Yes, HE, wearing pink. Noah hasn't figured all of that out yet!)

C'mon Zip It, Let's get out of here. It's nap time.

Okay, Zip It, you can get up now.
(Should I fear for Selah's life? He really does pick it up by it's head! I guess Selah's head will be too big for that... I can only hope!)
This is Noah's first peanut butter sandwich. His birthday is still more than a week away, but Bryan reasoned that we passed his due date, so that counts. I couldn't really argue that one.

Uh, Dad? Did you put something in this to make me sleepy?
(He loved the sandwich, even ate the crust. We were surprised because Jonah will not touch a peanut butter and jelly- I know he is the only 6 year old to not like them!)

Play Dough and Rainbows and Cold...Oh my!

Noah has become totally obsessed with Play Dough.
He asks to play with it from the moment he gets up (May I please play with play dough after breakfast? Ummm, NO.) And pesters me all morning until I give in after lunch. Then he takes a nap and wants to play with it until dinner. (Works out well, as he is then somewhere I can easily keep an eye on him while making dinner.) And as soon as he cleans it up so we can eat dinner, he begins asking to play with it after dinner! I never used to let Jonah play with play dough- too messy- but I have learned it is less messy than an unsupervised almost 3 year old!
Jonah trying desperately to be the center of the picture, Noah using all his stregnth to roll out that dough!

Uh, Jonah? Don't you think that is a little dangerous? (As I sit here and use my circular saw with no protective eye wear.)

Noah, you are in the picture again! Move already!
(If you look closely it is a double rainbow, the second is coming from the top of the roof on the house behind them.)

Jonah went to get the newspaper. It was in the 50s ( in August! Not in GA anymore!) and so he wore his Buckeyes socks- of course!- as well as his robe- not tied, he's too cool for that!- and an old hideous hat he found. Noah and I smartly waited inside!

Legos and baby furniture...

This was Noah during "room time" on Wednesday. I guess he got a little bored playing with his Diego submarine and reading the bedtime stories book! (Cute as it is, it means he doesn't really take a nap, and if he doesn't nap...neither do I!)
Bryan won father and husband of the year for building Jonah a star port Sunday night. He has literally done nothing but play with it if we are at home since then. It has been so wonderful, except when Noah gets in there and "accidentally" crashes ships. (This is built out of legos- and a glider box- and is way more impressive in person than in the pictures!)
Noah really loves the new glider we got for Selah (and Mommy). He constantly wants to go rock with me. Uh-oh... can you see where this is going once Selah needs to eat all the time?

As for Selah...
Saw the OB and the perinatologist today. Both reports were good. Her MCA Dopplers were between 58.8 and 61.2. (They want it under 62.2) So they said that was good. (Bryan and I kind of wonder if it is at all significant that the number has steadly increased and is close to 62, but we will see what next week brings!) The pictures from the appt were terrible, I will spare you. Only 2 D ones and they were very blurry. When the baby is 36 weeks along you would think that you would be able to see her clearly! She still has those hands all up in her face. Is she self-conscious about her nose already? (She is really going to hate me when she is older and reads this!) They measured her and she weighs about 6 lbs 8 oz and is measuring about 5 days ahead of schedule. Sounds pretty perfect to me! (I really cannot wait to compare their weight guess to her actual birth weight! How acurate is technology?)
The only news that was a bit disappointing was...
we have a tenative induction date of the 2nd of September.
Now if you were around 8 years ago, you may remember that was our wedding day. But the doctor only does inductions on tuesdays, so it is the 2nd or the 9th (Michael and Michelle's anniversary for all you DLIers). And Bryan has court in GA sometime mid to late September. In an effort to not be alone with a day old baby and 2 boys... the second is sounding like the better option. However, if we get a date for court and it is late September, we may go with the 9th- I am certain she is enjoying her solitude in there more than she will enjoy her brothers out here! We will let you know more later. And there is always that POSSIBILITY that I could just "go into labor." I am just not convinced that really happens. I think people lie.
