Hacked

We apologize to all of you who have gotten an email from us saying that we were in England for a funeral and needed money for resolving personal matters. Our hotmail account was hacked and they changed our password. In other words, we can't get in to see our contact list to send everyone an email explaining this. Thanks to all who called, texted, or Facebooked to let us know. We appreciate it. Sorry we can't really do anything about it. We have the same name @yahoo if you want to email us. It appears that we will have to close the account, but are trying to resolve the issues through hotmail. Unfortunately, they are a free service and do not have a customer service number, just email contact. Sorry for any inconvenience, thanks for understanding!

So Noah...

Went to choose his cereal for breakfast. 5 minutes later, he still hadn't returned. Since I could hear rustling around, I knew it was time to investigate. Surprisingly, he was sitting in the floor eating a mini box of frosted mini wheats. He was so hungry he couldn't even make it to the table!

Chillin' at soccer

Thankfully it's the last game for Fall- we are freezing! But we did find Selah a snowsuit, so it's a little better.

Climbing

It may be hard to tell in this picture, but Selah climbed herself up on top of the table. No help, just pulled herself up and was on one knee & one foot. She has NO fear, even when she does fall off things. She usually just gets mad that she fell off and climbs back up. Kind of scary...

Sigh

I may not have mentioned yet, but Jonah has been diagnosed as being color-blind. And, well, somedays it's pretty obvious!

Selah found a bag of mini Oreos...

And is desperately trying to open them. Thankfully, she has yet to be successful!

Giving in...

I have finally given in. After only 3 years, and countless reminders of how we are the ONLY family that doesn't have a Wii (yeah, right. We'll just not count all those families who can't afford to feed their kids,) I have decided to allow it.
Under one condition. I'm not paying for it or any of the things that go with it. (And by I, I mean WE, as in Bryan and I.) So the boys have worn me down, and they are allowed to buy themselves a Wii.
I'm sure you can imagine that they are ecstatic. They even saved what was left of their birthday money to put with their Christmas money in hopes that they will have enough to buy one after Christmas. I'm totally impressed with their self-restraint and dedication to the goal, actually. I mean, Noah's 4. And he chose to save his money, even though we were at Toys R Us and he could have gotten a new toy! Maybe, just maybe, I can turn this into a learning experience on responsibility??? One can hope...

When searching for a picture of the Wii, I came across this article from Fox News last December. Found it pretty funny...great reminder to stretch before exercising, even if by Wii.
"Up to ten people a week are being hospitalized with injuries caused by playing Nintendo Wii games, prompting doctors in Britain to issue warnings of the dangers associated with the video game system.
"There has been a 100 percent increase in patients complaining of Wii-itis," Dr. Dev Mukerjee of Broomfield Hospital, Essex, told The Sun newspaper.
Most patients are admitted after playing tennis or running games which involve sudden movements, resulting in tendon stretching or tearing.
"It's possible Wii-itis may lead to rheumatism or arthritis later in life. Patients often have inflammation of the shoulder or wrist," said Dr. Mukerjee.
Another common injury is dubbed Wii-knee, blamed on the bending of the knee from the Wii-Fit game. This involves a special platform and a series of movements ranging from yoga to strength-training moves.
In extreme cases, the kneecap can be dislocated or pop out of joint.
Doctors treat Wii-knee with cortisone injections, icing, and anti-inflammatory painkillers. Treatment can last for three months.
So, what to do?
As with any exercise program, doctors advise stretching exercises before play."
And for ONLY $15,000 USD...one can have a Star Wars Wii Console. Sorry boys, I'm thinking that's a little out of your price range, at least if you are hoping to buy one this year!

I also "gave in" and bought them some 3-D sidewalk chalk this week, since they have been begging since it came out in the Spring, and it was finally on clearance. Jonah wanted me to take a picture with the camera using the glasses...
Much to his disappointment, it did not seem to work. ( I think that you really do need two "eyes" for the whole 3-D thing.)

Noah, looking cool in his glasses.

And, not to be left out, Jonah looking cool in his!

Total side note...
raw potato that falls below burner should probably be removed immediately.
It actually was glowing red.
As in on fire.
Who knew?
Sadly, the picture did not come out that well. But I assure you, it looked just like a little log smoldering in a fire. Kind of scary, I would assume it could have actually burst into flames given enough time. Will have to research this...
(I was cooking on this burner, obviously.)

Do you think her head was cold?

Just a couple pictures from today

For some reason, artificial light make Selah's hair look red. It's not, I assure you.
She wore her new Buckeyes dress today. Too bad that didn't help them play better...or even respectfully.

Kind of washed out, but Noah and Selah cheering for the Buckeyes.

Selah loves...

emptying things.
Today she chose to "empty" an envelope full of coupons.
She said she was looking for some shoes.
(This was after looking through the laundry that she also threw all over.)
Still looking...

At least she threw almost all of them into a pile behind her!

Brrrrrr...

It's cold. And I don't like wearing mittens! I think my Mom & I are going to winter with my cousins in GA!

Soccer in October

Requires snow pants because of freezing temperatures. It is currently 32 degrees with 7 mph winds. The feels like temp is 25. It's COLD.

Dog tags handcuffs & fire helmets...

What more could a 13 month old little girl ask for?

Noah

He was so excited that I bought him his own knife last night he just couldn't wait to use it. But it had to be washed first. And the dishwasher was clean. SO...he unloaded all of the silverware & put it away! I had NO idea he could do that! He SO has a new morning chore!!!

Catching up? HA!

I'm not sure I'll ever get there. Once Micah arrives, I doubt I'll ever get anything done. But for those of you not on Facebook, here's a link to some pictures from Jonah's birthday. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2038141&id=1468951298&l=7a943b8e70
And here's a link to some pictures from our trip to Ohio in September.
It's not as comprehensive, but it's quicker... and it's 1:15 am right now. I HAVE to go to bed, Selah still gets up between 4 and 5!

All by herself

Sweet little Selah can pull out drawers & climb in them- without any help. Getting out proved to be a bit more difficult & ended with her landing on her head. But after a short crying spell, she climbed back in.

Selah's new chair.

Someone was giving away their kids' old recliner. I jumped all over that, as Selah is SUCH a climber, I thought she might enjoy having her own chair. (Of course, it's meant for ages 3 and up- and Selah is small as it is- so it's HUGE but she has no trouble climbing up into it! I even watched her climb into it while drinking her cup the other day! Took her a minute, but she did it!)
Needless to say, she loves it- and so do her brothers. It's always a fight over who gets to sit in it. (I do need to recover it as it was "well-loved" by it's previous owners, but that's okay as I have always wanted to reupholstry something but never had anything to reupholstry! Plus, we'll try for a more neutral color so Micah (and Jonah and Noah) can share it, too!)

Selah loves...

To pull tissues out of the box! (She crawled away when I tried to take her picture- no proof, please!)
She also LOVES to unroll the toilet paper, pull the wet wipes out of the box, and turn on the fan!
Drives me nuts- I'm either tripping over piles of paper products, or shouting to be heard over the fan.
But do notice that she tried to put some back in the box once she'd been caught!

Scary!!

Selah's a bit scared to the pumpkin we got this year. But seeing as how it comes up to her chin (really) I guess I can't blame her! And you have to love Sam's (okay, I hate Sam's & love Costco, but Costco didn't have any pumpkins,) because the whole giant pumpkin was $8.88!!! Considering we spent about $40 for pumpkins at the pumpkin farm last year (that weren't anywhere near this size) I was pretty excited to just do one for $8.88! And it's totally big enough to carve differnt designs on different side for the kids- although Bryan said we may have to start an actual fire inside to make it glow. No way is a tea light going to light this baby up!
I just took the scale outside & weighed it....57.4 pounds!! Bryan had guessed 60- and he was pretty accurate! (Don't worry, I rolled it onto the scale.)

Rainy days, small kids, tiny condos...

Notice Noah's singing..."Here we go round the mulberry bush, all through the town!" Guess we need to work on songs with him...
