The Real 4th of July

Living in Metro Detroit, you see a large quantity of interesting vehicles. Many are wrapped in a speckled pattern because they are the yet-to-be-released new models. Most are American-made since the Big 3 are all here. But every now and then...you get a random interesting German car. Like this one. Driven by a white guy. Anyone want to guy what HE does for a living? Clue- I doubt it's legal...

Some good friends bought a lake house not too far outside of town and invited us up. The kids had a blast. Swimming, boating, tubing, wake boarding, fishing, floating, food, and fireworks made for a great day. After we dragged everyone to Mass, of course. Late Mass because no one was making it to 9 am after last night.

Even Judah went swimming! As Bryan put it...the sharks swarmed as soon as he came out. They were all so excited to see him play in the water.

So our host made it look easy to wake board. Bryan and Jonah both tried and were not successful.  But later Micah went out (without me therefor no pictures) and made it up on his 3rd try. He said is was crazy fun.

Judah would have loved the boat, but between the life vest and the lack of naps....he was a bit difficult. When the boat was moving, he was good. But when it stopped, not so fun.

This was his fun face.

And perhaps his most fun face. Too bad he only cat napped again.

I think we were fixing to have a nice sunset. But I missed the actual sunset.

A great way to celebrate #245 for America!
