Mountains on Monday

Well I'm not normal a spur of the moment person, but today we made a quick decision for Jonah and I to fly home and try to work on the house for a few days.
At 11:11 we prchased tickets.
At 11:24 we left the apartment.
At 12:00 we were at our gate waiting on our 1:00 flight.
The airports are literally empty. This is the check-in counter.  Not a single customer.
There were 5 people in the regular security line and none in the TSA pre-check.
Most of the shops and restraints were closed.
It looked more like midnight than noon.

Send ove again ther whole country was overcast.  I was so disappointed because we flew out of Reagan which is downtown DC and I hoped for a great view of the city.

The clouds finally started to clear as we started our descent into Denver. Nothing to see.

But as we left the airport,  we could see the mountains west of Denver.

There is always sone kind of view here.  If there's blue skies, you've got mountains.  If it's cloudy, the clouds are often intriguing.

And the cloud cover started to disperse as we approached our neighborhood giving us a glimpse of Pike's Peak.
Now on to productive packing!
