Easter

We had an action packed Easter weekend at our house. GG and Aunt Pat came up for the weekend. And for Easter, Eric and Tammy joined us, and so did Bryan's Aunt Dianne and Uncle Mickey along with 2 of their kids- Laura and Michael. Unfortunately I spent a lot of time feeding Selah (duh) and in the kitchen pretending to cook, so there aren't a WHOLE lot of pictures of everyone. But there are way too many for one post- SORRY! I didn't realized how many there were until it was too late!

Easter weekend should always start off with egg decorating!
Jonah the egg artist (sponsored by UPS for this competition.)

Noah was the director and Dad the directions follower.

The finished products- AFTER I cleaned up the mess.
Egg decorating was followed by the Stations of the Cross, which ALL three kids were well behaved for. Too bad I can't same the same for Easter Mass...

Jump ahead to Easter morning...
Noah, singing his praises for his Easter basket.
(He was totally stuck on what color the Easter Bunny was, so the Easter Bunny brought some replica ears.)

Hanging out with his loot.

Enjoying their 28 degree egg hunt.

Jonah the cow, eating his Easter grass.
(The new thing on the market is edible grass. Tastes like green apple. If you're Catholic, it tastes just like a green apple Host, kind of disturbing to me.)
On to Easter dinner.
Mr. Eric, sponsored by Lowe's, is helping with the rearranging of furniture to fit 13.

An UH-OH moment. The bread is stuck in the cavity in the oven.
(Why on Earth would the oven be larger on the inside?)
But don't worry!
Eric's got a plan!
Tammy: ERIC! You are RUINING the BREAD!
(Okay. maybe said plan didn't work- and Eric got burned in the process. But he did solve the day! After letting the bread finish baking, he suggested using a rubber spatula to carefully maneuver it out- and it worked! and then he cut the bread for us, and made it look like the Easter Bunny! Very cool, Eric! -Sorry I didn't get any pictures of that, both loaves of bread were eaten before the meal was over.)

Noah was helping set the table, and since he had EXTRA plates, he just gave everyone 2! So helpful!

What happens when the 3 year old is waiting on everyone else to eat dinner?
He gets himself a couple of cups of water and dumps them back and forth!

Selah and Aunt Dianne
DAD! Another new person!!!!
(She actually did great with everyone, seems to have gotten used to strangers after the "big trip")

Noah and HIS dessert table.
There was black bottom cupcakes, Tiramisu, a cheesecake variety, cinnamon chips and fruit salsa, strawberries and dip, Citrus cake, Baklava, and Molten lava cakes. OH! And of course, Easter candy. I don't think anyone left without the opportunity for a sugar high.

Mr. Eric was a bit cold, so he borrowed Selah's sweater.
He said it made him the perfect temperature!

Daddy trying to teach Selah not to hit her brothers even if they make her mad.

Selah hanging out with Daddy now that things have settled down a little.

Just Eating a car in my Easter Best.
Noah loving on GG.
We tried to get a nice picture of the 3 kids (only 3! Shouldn't be that hard.) Here are a few of the bloopers...
STOP TOUCHING MY HEAD AND GET OUT OF MY FACE!

PLEASE STOP!

Jonah: NOAH! Leave Selah alone! (AS IF he wasn't messing with her 5 seconds ago.

2 out of 3 isn't bad...

Of course.

Jonah doing shadow puppets on the wall behind him- when everyone else is smiling!

Say AHHHHH

This is Special Agent Noah, all is clear on the west side.

And finally, after 30 (!!!) shots, 3 kids looking, and almost looking happy.

Now let's make it just a little bit worse and try for 5 smiles...AFTER the first 30 shots. HA HA!
(this was as good as it got. And NO, Bryan didn't wear that to Mass, he wore a suit and changed before dinner- next year we will try for pictures a little earlier in the day.)

I had to add this one just because of how cute Selah looks. I should have cropped it... Oh well!

And a quick picture of the boys hanging out with GG.

And one of Selah and GG sharing a laugh.
Thanks for coming everyone! It was nice to have a crowd for the holidays again! They just aren't the same when it's just the 5 of us...
