Testing and Birthday Dessert

I tried to take a picture of Micah in his new pj's and robe...he tried to run away and Elijah and Judah jumped in the spotlight!

Judah was more cuddly than normal.  Perhaps he was just happy to be at home and not the hospital.  Even Noah cashed in on some time with him.

This kid.
Selah and I (and Judah) went to a thrift store earlier this week.  I saw this rocking chair and was debating.  Only$5, but did I need more clutter? Would he even like it? So I took him out of the carrier and set him in it. He seemed to like it... and then I tried to pick him back up. He did not want to leave the chair! So we decided to buy it.

Maybe that was a bad choice. He did this himself. I'm a bit worried he's going to get hurt,  it's a rocking chair!

Looks like we have a climber on our hands!

Speaking of hands...
Pictures don't have the same effect, but his hands are still so small and sweet (and chubby), yet so big! They're still dimpley and so soft.  They serve him well, each and every day. He uses them to eat bison, clap and give high-fives, blow kisses, wave, and if you make him mad, pinch!

Testing day! Micah and Jonah tested for recommended black belt today. Jonah did fantastic. Micah did really well but froze up in the middle of his form. It took him a few servings to figure out where he was. He was so crushed.  We don't yet know if he passed,  and he has been very upset.  Please pray for him to have peace with the decision. He had worked hard for this but maybe just need to work a wee bit harder. He did great at sparring and broke his board on the first try.

Selah and Jonah again,  where they look the same size due to Jonah's stance.

After it was over, a little fun playing Dodgeville. Judah wanted to go in so badly,  he kept trying to crawl himself into the mix.

And a bit late,  but Micah's birthday dessert is Street Sweets' ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. Everyone said it was fabulous.

He didn't want to be in the picture.  Oops.

Nor did he.

Nor he.

He hid the first time but humored me the second.

She wasn't thrilled either.

Judah and I watched the fun and made plans to enjoy some ourselves someday!
