Wisdom of a Nine-Year-Old

I wish I would keep up on quotes better. I always think I'll remember them to post later...and I never can recall them later.

So here's a quick one today. 

Elijah and I were reading his religion, discussing actual sin and the differences between mortal and venal. The book says that being mean to your sibling and hurt them, it is an actual sin. 

Elijah immediately yells out, "See, Selah! What you did this morning was a sin! My religion just said so!"

I then reminded him the the Bible tells us to remove the log from our own eye before removing the splinter from another's.

He didn't miss a beat.

"Mom, I can't do that! Charity is helping others before yourself!"
