National Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation

A friend has been telling me about this incredible treasure a mere 2.5 hours from home. There have been many miracles attributed to pilgrimages here, and I've been planning to bring Judah but time always gets away from me.

Well, we stopped to use the bathroom in the way to Columbus today,  and just so happened to be in Carey, Ohio.  We didn't have much extra time on the way to the game,  but i checked the map and it isn't far off the interstate AND it's open 24 hours.

So we stopped on the way home for just a few minutes.  I look forward to going back and spending more time there!

It was, of course, silent.  And I hear this loud noise and look over....it was Micah opening his (velcro) wallet and lighting candles. Warms my heart.

You can read about this Basilica and the statue that was made for them back in 1875

Ran back in to use the restroom, and saw briefly the treasures in the lower Basilica.

These dresses are all for the statue! Incredible.

Tribute to all the miracles. Crutches and braces no longer needed, as well as other items offered in Thanksgiving.
So we glad we stopped, even though it legnthened an already long day. We prayed for Judah (ultrasound Wednesday and really optimistic!), but also so many friends and family. Thanking God for all the many blessings and miracles he has bestowed on us.

Please keep Susan in your prayers, she starts chemo on Monday.
