The goods of Afghanistan

Hey guys, if anyone is interested in Afghan carpets, brass work, lapis lazuli, or Jalabaad wood furniture, let me know!

I bought the round rug under this runner for our dinning room. It was made by Afghan refugees in Pakistan. This runner is about 10 feet long, the round rug is 8 feet in diameter.

These next two pictures are the same rug, taken from opposite ends. The color changes based on your perspective, a characteristic of the wool. They also have antique Persian rugs, around 65 years old. Of course, there is a premium price for those.

Lapis Lazuli. They also make figurines, bowls, etc. out of it.

Brass vases.

We spent a few hours at the aiport on Saturday. The Greek restraunt had some tasty Burgers, believe it or not.
