Morning Update

The fever came down with Motrin, but the crying didn't stop. He woke up at least twice an hour crying and wouldn't nurse. I was increasingly worried when he woke up at 730 and I couldn't get him to calm down at all. He didn't even want Daddy. He did ultimately calm down and  cheer up some- played a bit with his toys but didn't want to be left alone.

He's refused his morning bottle, but that hasn't been uncommon since his surgery. I decided to try to nurse him and he fell asleep. He then caught me trying to take a picture. He is the sweetest thing in my life right now!
I spoke with urology nurse. She felt it was reasonable to have him looked at by his pediatrician before jumping to bringing him all the way to Mott. (90 min drive.) However, she did say a urine culture was wise and I don't know if they do those in office there. (I'm guessing not. As I write this, I can't help but wonder how long it would take for results, either.)

I left a message with the pediatrician's office and am waiting on a return call. And I'm hoping to be able to lay this child down while he sleeps so I can pack a bag just in case.
