Spring.

The boys have shared the photo with me,  saying that they look the same to them. And maybe I should stop trying to get them to watch a sunrise or sunset now that I can see what they see and why it isn't so impressive.
It is rather bland. I must say.
It reminds me of one of the very few negative of Colorado- the fall colors. There isn't any color but yellow in Colorado foliage, and it's rather boring. (The trees are basically all Aspen.)

Here's an example I stole off the internet.  You'll notice the trees are boring, but the sky and mountains sure make up for the lack of red and orange. I guess I see why the kids would be unimpressed, because without the upper half of this photo, I'm unimpressed.
I was internally lamenting this weekend how much I have failed at being a good mom to Judah. I'm so busy and I rarely play with him or even read to him.
It was rather timely, that being said, to catch this moment with him and Micah. It made me realize what he doesn't get from me, he does get from others and he certainly isn't neglected. He gets so much love in a day, he's generally refusing to hug people good night.  No more touching, please. (Except that I'm going to go scratch mom's belly until it bleeds while I fall asleep. That's different.)

Mom! Look at all these cucumbers! We should eat them!

Still camera-shy, but he had his first "oat ball." Or rather his first three. "It tastes like chocolate!" And he didn't react to the peanut butter! Yay!

Spring has sprung! Finally some sort of good weather to go outside in!

And as soon as he came in (mean mom wanted the kids to do their school!), the garbage truck came by. Watching the trash truck is a highlight of Judah's week.

Dad has finally agreed to a hair cut. Woohoo!

And I have finally succeeded at hamburger buns!

Just a little rainy basketball, in bare feet, after Mass tonight. "But mom! It's 45 degrees outside!"
Here comes the mud....
