Sleep and Great Views

I'd like to start by thanking all of you who have been praying for us. Especially those who have been praying for improvement in Judah's sleep.

Last night was almost a miracle. He slept for over 7 hours straight. SEVEN HOURS!! And I got 6 of those!!
Sure, I woke up a few times trying not to panic that he was dead. But I restrained myself from going in and waking him up, and I was able to fall back asleep each time until he woke up 5:28am.

Seven hours. Incredible.  I hope it's the beginning of something beautiful and permanent! We may eat scones at 9 pm every night from now on.

One of the most true statements I've ever related to is "Perhaps the most superstitious of all beings are mothers who are desperate to recreate a good night's sleep with a baby (and more so with a yet non-sleeping toddler.)"

Scones. Tow truck pjs. Bed at 10 pm. Worth a try on repeat!

The beauty of the morning continued with these views! It was like being back in Colorado for a minute. There was an illusion of mountains and it was so enjoyable.

Okay, perhaps still not as great as a view of Pike's Peak from my living room and bedroom....

Or the Incredible skies we could view from the backyard. But if every morning could offer me such peaceful views, it would go a long way in improving my mental health.

Bonus picture...throwback to chess in the backyard in CO. Elijah was still in his specator days (and Halloween costumes are acceptable everyday outfit days.) There was a chess game pre and post rosary this morning. And the treat of loss of evening activities if chess was not paused for schoolwork to commence.

While I admired the views, Bryan built Judah a new train track to play with during the rosary.
(See background image.)

But Judah wanted to watch trains on my phone.

 And I said no.
(See foreground reaction.)

The next thing we knew...that little walker visible in the top left of the first train picture became a violent weapon.

See video here.

So much for sleep improving mood. His mood is rotten this morning.

But he did have fun "making a puzzle" while we reviewed Catechism this morning. The other kids are getting a pop quiz at lunch because I'm skeptical they retained much while puzzling with Judah.
