Do You See What I See?

It's the sun! At 0630! In March! In Michigan!

I'm so happy to have sunlight in the mornings...and even happier when it's a clear day and we can actually see the sun!

Also, our seasonal pond is back. I'm trying to enjoy the improvement of my view and not just be annoyed at the increase in wet, muddy clothing and shoes.

More chess. It's non-stop.

Micah has informed me that Selah and Elijah have improved greatly over the last couple of weeks. He used to be able to beat them without losing a single piece but now they sometimes almost beat him! Guess he'd better up his game. Literally.

Nothing like a little morning cup of diced peaches with your coffee.  It's a new thing, he would never touch canned fruit before.

It's the Feast of Ss Perpetua and Felicity. So we had African for dinner.  West African peanut stew, acutally. It wasn't half bad.
I knew the kids would not be thrilled, so I planned to make Piri Piri Chicken with it...but couldn't find Piri Piri peppers. I did find that Meijer carries a pre-made sauce but didn't get there to grab it.

In other words...the kids mostly ate rice. And I shouldn't have doubled the recipe.
