The night wasn't great, but it was okay. Judah woke up vomiting at 0120 but hasn't since then. Lots of pressure in his abdomen from gas build-up. I'm hoping if we can get that moving it'll ease some of his discomfort. Given that it's all putting pressure on his stomach, that could be part of the issue, as well. It took some work to get him to sleep comfortably, but I finally gave up on the crib and he did much better.
He woke up with some personality this morning! He must have been dreaming about Daddy because when he woke up, he would not stop saying Dada. So we video called Daddy and he said hi. Then he talked to his siblings. He was so smiley for the first couple of minutes! And he kept sticking his tongue out at Elijah. Love seeing some personality come back.
He was awake for 2 whole hours and just now fell back asleep. We sang some songs and watched some home videos. Those of you reading this in current time, if you or your kids want to send a video, I think he'd love to see it. Even if it's just a short one saying hi!
He nursed a little bit- like 4 swallows- at 9 and had Zofran at 0930. The docs were adamant that we need to get him on Bactrim (the antibiotic that he takes dailu to prevent UTIs and kidney infective infections), which is only available orally, rather than go back to iv antibiotics so we tried again at 10. It's 1048 and it hasn't come up! Praise Jesus!
He's rotating Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours via IV, and he seems to be okay with that for pain as long as there is little movement. That's huge, now we just need to get those to stay down orally.
Orthopedics should be stopping by to check the swelling in his leg and advise if we can put his boots and bar on or need to potentially cast him for a bit. His leg actually looks way better this morning and has some flexibility in the ankle now, so maybe we can get the boots on.
Main issues now are the vomiting and the gas build-up. Hoping we can start to make progress on those and he'll likely start feeling much better.
