So there does appear to be some misunderstanding, in the form of people thinking we are returning to Michigan after Italy.
I will never say never, but I will say it is very unlikely.
Bryan's agency is closing their outlying offices and transferring everyone to a major Army installation, so he would have to transfer agencies to come back here. No one wants to come back here anyway, and he will only have 3 years until retirement so it really would have to be the Hand of God if that were to happen.
SO, we became Texas residents. Woohoo! Even more exciting because we got to see the Vultaggios and it hasn't even been a year!
Jude loves riding the parking shuttle.
I think he was singing a song here. Notice Micah is not hiding from the camera for once!
On the plane with his new tablet- learning letters and "cooking."
Blessedly, screens are not that great and he likes to play still.
Little trucks were prefect for the seat.
He ALWAYS reads the emergency procedures. He also asked lots of questions about the masks that "may not inflate" when the flight attendant briefed us.
Watching workers work!
Welcome to Texas. Complete with a longhorn at baggage claim.
These kids are the best, I only had to carry my own backpack!
Wide open spaces.
Somewhat sketchy pizza place. Good reviews, but the door stays locked and you call them and they bring your pizza to the door. The area was definitely questionable, but it was 8pm our time and we were hungry!
Upside-down sunset photos...no clue why they loaded like this.
LOOOOOONG day!
We went to the library and Jude tried everything to convince me to just get 3 books. We did not, but I love his love for reading.
The boys created art. They had so much fun, they tried to get us to take them back later.
Sammy made an eclipse.
Jude embracing his new home. Too bad I did not think to buy him boots while we were there!
These are upside down googles. I think they are for a game, but he just wore them around all the time making us laugh.
Watching old you tube videos of Jack and his friends singing. It's tradition.
No joke flash flooding. The kids had a blast playing in it, and we didn't lost power or sustain wind damage, so it was kinda fun.
They warned us it would be gone in a half hour. They weren't kidding, Houston has it down to a science for drainage! But you can see how kids get swept away, it is quite powerful! We made Jude stay out, much to his dismay, but the puddles were still fun.
