Sadly, they didn't cut his cast off, so we couldn't keep it. They unwrapped it, instead.
But yay for a straight foot! Now the "good" foot looks like the bad one!
His little feet were happy to be together again! Aren't they sweet.
His crease is a little scary looking. Because his foot pulled inward, there is extra skin there at the ankle. It bunches up when you straighten the foot and so it created quite a deep crease. It's kinda raw in there but the doc said it was normal.the extra skin should lessen as he grows.

This is the last cast, we hope! His foot can be pushed into place with some stretching, so he did an X-ray to make sure it was all good and it was. Therefore, we skipped the tenotomy and just casted in the stretched position. The doctor said we will leave it 3 weeks like we would post-tetonomy.
So next appointment will be in MI, hopefully for his boots and bar. Sometimes, they still need the tenotomy at that point but he's optimistic he won't. (Of course, we know how the optimism has played out for us so far....)
He sure didn't like it when he stretched it into place but then fell right asleep once it was mostly casted.
and the Buckeyes gear? His doc went to U of M. Big basketball game with them this weekend. Michigan is number 3. Ohio State is 4. We needed to represent.

Funny little guy sleeping with his leg up once we were home.
