Nothing much to report today. Had a little scare this am. They haven't been able to test his potassium levels because his blood always clots too quickly. So today they did a bedside test to check it. As soon as it finishes, the nurse says she is going to stop trying to fill the other bloodwork through the heel stick because she thinks the doc will want the lab to come draw from a vein because his potassium and sodium were high. This was at 3am. I mistakenly Googled what that meant.
So the lab came up at 630. (Like I said. There's not much sleeping around here.) Missed the vein the first time. Dug around. Let's just say Judah wasn't happy and I cant blame him!
Second try she got it and he barely whimpered. By this point it was feeding time and then the day was underway!
