It's hard to believe, but our brave and noble patriarch has celebrated another birthday. We've had the pleasure of celebrating the last 17 together, and it's been incredible to watch him change from a boy of 20 into a man. While admitting that one is in their late 30s might be hard, the wisdom one gains by getting there brings about a certain peace.
Admittedly, I love Bryan's birthday because it signifies the end of birthday season here at the Wilhelm household. And this mama is oh so glad! He took pity on me and simply requested creme brulee for dessert. We whipped up so meringues for the kids who couldn't indulge in the dairy with the left over egg whites. And threw in some mint chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles for good measure. And it was still a hundredth of the work of one of the kid's cakes!
Here's to this year being his best yet...thanks to all those who pray for him!
