It's been quiet around here, so to speak. We've been battling an illness making its way through the family.
This one is the current victim. Sleep is light and temper is heavy with him right now.
He needed a straw for his tea, but would not allow the straw to be cut.
Before he was feeling poorly, he helped make some biscuits for dinner. I turned to grab something from the pantry and turned back to this. Praise the Lord he thought to play with his straw and not the giant knife sitting there
Bryan and I went to a concert last weekend with the Martins for Susan's birthday.
The opening act was a local band, the Tom Daniel's Band. They were quite good.
The Steeldrivers were the main act. They were great. I'm not a big banjo fan but it wasn't overpowering. Can I suggest you listen to the Ghosts of Mississippi, if you're aware of my lack of love for the state? Noah and I had a good time lamenting the truths of that one.
After a late night at the concert, Susan and I met with a couple other mom friends for Mass at o'dark-thirty. There's a little Carmelite Monastery nearby we've been frequenting on Saturday monrings. Admittedly, it was pretty in the snow when we were leaving.
Random, but shared by a nun. (Not from the above Monastery.) If you haven't read the temperament God gave you and you live or interact with people, I highly recommend. (There's also one specific to spouse and children these days. I haven't read the children one, but the spouse is also a good one.)
Noah finally got a car! Freedom! And yes, that's a BMW. 2 grand. German life!
Noah took advantage of the freedom and went skiing.
He said the conditions were terrible, but he didn't die and it was nice to ski again.
Flashback from Dec 2010. We had just moved into our house in Harrison Twp and I let the boys (Jonah and noah) take a bath while I made dinner. They may have added too much soap, and the jets did great work with that soap!
