Wishing we still had that Colorado sunshine, one gloomy Michigan winter day at a time.

Sleepy Elijah
It's not such a big deal to start your day at 0430 of you can just nap when you feel like it! At least Mommy got a shower out if the deal!

The Wilhelms
We attract quite a bit of attention when we go pretty much anywhere. We often look like a family of ducks. A never ending one! It only makes matters worse that our kids feel it is necessary to have a cart, basket, or some other item that enable them to further get in the way. Jonah ran away from the picture, but he had a distance wheel, too.
3 months!!
Mr Elijah turned 3 months yesterday. Cannot believe it has been so long. Or so short. We are so blessed to have him! He coos, giggles, and smiles on demand. Kicks his little baby feet, and loves to pull Mommy's hair. He's a tiny one, only 14 pounds, but so incredibly cute. It won't be long and he will be sitting up! He is just such an incredible little ball of joy for us. It's so amazing to watch him grow and learn!
Thanks be to God!
Elijah's first ever nap in his bed!! It only took 3 months and a day. Praying we are turning a corner with this sweety little baby. And maybe I'll be able to eat something new soon. I'm still only eating quinoa, carrots, butternut squash, pear, and have just recently been able to add sweet potato. He reacted to the onion and the coconut and it has taken a full two weeks to get rid of the symptoms each time. And it seems he's reacting to something now, presumably cross contamination from our trip. Very frustrating, I'd really love something new. But having a peaceful baby is oh so nice!
No grits?
Micah's first bowl of grits dumped when Micah fell off his chair while saying blessing this morning. His second bowl just broke as I stirred milk into it. I was reluctant to give him a third bowl, but that one made it into his tummy.

Poor Elijah
Selah is giving Elijah a crash course in what to ask for as Christmas presents. Strangely, she seems to think he wants dolls and hair accessories...
Beautiful
Selah: Mommy, do you think I'm pretty?
Me: I think you're beautiful, Selah.
Your outfit on the other hand...
And Micah says"take a picture of me, Mom! With my leg up like Selah!"

Father-son bonding
All you need is the father and the son. The bonding can take place any time or place. Even at rest areas.
Sick Selah
Poor Selah got sick while traveling. When she was finally holding down water, we got her a popsicle at a gas station. She wanted to save it for later so we stuck it in the cooler...needless to say she drank it when it was "later."
Mountains
It's kind of funny, and a little scary, when you can see the road you're driving on cut through the mountains.

Selah telling about St Helen
I'm attempting to find a way to share videos. So try this link and let me know if it works!

So pretty!
Selah got new clothes from a Mom 2 Mom sale over the weekend. She is so excited, and wants to show her brothers all of her new outfits. Much to her dismay, they aren't very interested. She asked them if she was pretty in this dress, and after the third time, they finally agreed. And then Jonah informed her that they weren't girls and didn't get excited about clothes like she did.
Poor girl needs a sister!
MOMMY!!
Selah is looking at my food!
Wow. New low here.
It used to be Selah is touching me.
Then, last week, he told on her for looking at him.
Now he's telling on her for looking at his food.
Selah and Micah are the best of friends...and the worst of enemies.

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
Micah jumped off the bed and hit his head on the dresser corner. Thankfully he hit the floor and then fell into the dresser or I'm sure it would have been an EE trip. He's fine now besides a lump and a bruise!
Snow?
It was 32* driving to church this morning. And the kids were playing hide & seek in the basement last night with some friends. And someone (Selah?) Turned off the furnace. We woke up to 62 (it's set to 66) and it was noticeably colder in the house. Thankfully, Bryan figured out (accidentally) that it was off before we called someone!
Elijah thought he would celebrate the cold weather by breaking out the snowman sweater. Sadly, he blinked.
A Bumbo!
Elijah scored a bumbo at a Mom 2 Mom sale yesterday. It is a specially designed seat for babies who cannot sit up yet but can hold up their head. He seemed to like it. And his sister felt he needed a decoration.
Sleepy time.
Elijah is finally feeling a bit better and relaxed on Daddy for a nap Friday. He's been pretty miserable the last couple weeks, just reacting to the foods I've tried to add back in. Coconut and onion are no-go's. Turns out I'm allergic to coconut, too. I think just raw coconut. Hopefully just raw for him, too! We've been successful with sweet potato. So now I can eat 5 foods! But while I'd love some new foods in my diet, I really hate having a miserable baby for a week or two every time we are not successful. Enjoying the peace the last couple days!
